Domaine de Colette is located in the village of Lantignié, regarded as the standout village within the cru of Regnié, and less than 1 km from Morgon. The estate is owned and run by Jacky Gauthier, his wife Evelyne, and their son Alexandre.

Jacky Gauthier’s father René, officially created Domaine de Colette in 1953, inspiring Jacky to study enology in the late 1970’s. He worked with his parents on their then 8 ha’s of vineyards, when in 1980 he received an offer from an uncle to work with him at his vineyard, which he did, eventually buying that vineyard in 1984, creating the opportunity to make wine from both family vineyards under the Domaine de Colette label.

The Gauthier’s continued adding to their portfolio of sites, currently with vineyards in 4 crus i.e. Regnié, Morgon, Fleurie, Moulin-à-Vent, and of course producing a fantastic Beaujolais-Villages.

However, a new dynamic is created from 2019 onwards, as their son Alexandre introduces the conversion to organic agriculture and the addition of one of their most recent and exciting projects, Beaujolais-Lantignié, that has embraced the winds of change and is made with a no added sulphur concept.

It is absolutely delicious!
