Domaine Chalmeau is owned and operated by Patrick Chalmeau, wife Christine, and daughter Elodie. The Chalmeau family has been making wine on the property since Patrick’s grandfather created the estate after the second world war. The property is located between Auxerre and Chablis, in the charming village of Chitry, producing Bourgogne Aligoté, Bourgogne Chitry Rouge, Bourgogne Chitry Blanc, Chablis and Chablis Montmains 1er Cru.

With over 17 hectares under vine, they follow sustainable practices across their whole production. Our introduction of Aligoté and Chablis to Australia, brought us a snap shot of their capacity to make wines that are complex and layered, showing precision and finesse. No doubt, in future we will see more of what this unassuming Domaine has to offer.
