BEYOND EXPECTATION

Domaine des Thermes has been the stronghold of the Robert family for over two centuries, with the first proprietorship logged in 1792. The estate is located throughout an ancient Roman villa that has been recognized by the excavation of ruins that bring evidence of baths within the surroundings of the property, hence the name ‘Thermes’.

Today the estate is run by Michel Robert and wife Annie, together with their sons Sylvain and Olivier, allowing each member of the family to have their role and work in perfect synergy in order to make great wines.

Michel has now conceded most of his daily duties to the young men, with Sylvain in charge of winemaking, Olivier on the viticultural front whereas mother Annie is hosting visitors and driving sales on a daily basis. A strong team combination with incredibly committed and hard working principals throughout the family.

The Domaine now has approximately 40 hectares under vine with two-thirds classified as Côtes de Provence AOP. The vineyard is essentially made up of only classic Provençal grape varieties: Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Rolle, which is the white variety taking up 15% of this cuvée.

Thermes ‘Fotunae’ Rosé delivers a glass loaded with aromatics reminiscent of stone fruit blossom, abundant forest fruit and supported with texture that goes the extra mile.

It is with great satisfaction that the Robert family look back at their decision to leave the cooperative system and produce their own label in 1998, delivering a true and soulful great from the Côte de Provence.
